Yesterday Isabel took her test to officially become an Insurance Agent with the California Department of Insurance and she passed on her first try! This was a goal of hers ever since she started working at our agency which was April of 2014. It is great to see her hard work pay off and see her accomplish this goal of hers. Congrats Isabel! Hope you are ready because your career as an insurance agent has only just began!

Today was a special day for our agency because we celebrated Laura’s Birthday! We had a team lunch at Koki’s Teriyaki Grill in Tustin and surprised her by decorating her cubicle! Laura has been working at our agency since 2012 and is an important member of our team. Although she frequently wins our “Customer Service Agent of the Month” award, she actually won the “Agent of the Month Award” for the first time ever last month (September 2015) and contributed significantly to us having our best month ever! Our Best Month Ever (Again!) (420 policies sold)

Thanks to all our clients who started a new policy with us last month, September was the best month ever for our agency! August was a great month so it was amazing that we had an even better month in September. The month was highlighted by Laura becoming the “Agent of the Month” for the first time in her career! Congrats Laura and congrats to our entire team for breaking the record two months in a row!

Earlier this year our part time office assistant Paris had major back surgery which caused all of us to worry if she will ever be able to walk again. Thanks to the incredible doctors at Southern California Veterinary Specialty Hospital in Irvine California she has recovered and thankfully now back at work again! We are so happy to be able to celebrate her Birthday today and see her smiling and contributing at work again! We all celebrated her recovery and birthday today and let go of her sleeping at work issue for now… Happy birthday Paris!! We are so happy you are walking and working without any pain now!
Our Best Month Ever! (398 policies sold)

August 1st was our agency’s 8 year anniversary and we celebrated all month by having our best month ever! What made it more special was the fact that some of us had difficult personal challenges outside of work such as death in our family and breakups… So many challenges can happen at our lives at any moment… But you know what I like to do personally to cheer myself up things get though? That is making money and our team did a great job of that in August! We sold more policies and collected more premium than any other month in our 8 year history. As always Janet Diaz lead the way and was awarded the “Agent of the Month” award by coming back strong from a well deserved vacation she took in Turks and Caicos last month. And for the first time in 8 months another agent beat Laura out for the “Customer Service Agent of the Month” by having an incredible month. It is never easy out selling Laura so congrats to Sonya Walle for working extra hard for her impressive results! Since everyone on our team contributed and since it was our best month ever I can honestly say that I am overall “happy” with our results but happy is such a dangerous word and I really feel that it should used carefully… As a sales manager the last thing I want to do is put a cap or underestimate our ability to do better each and every month. By working harder and smarter and most importantly by putting our clients’ needs first, our agency is not satisfied with where we are today but more excited about our future.

Happy mother’s day to all the mothers that are our clients! Sunday was especially a special day for my wife, Risa, because it was her very first mother’s day. Thanks for everything you do (which is literally everything) for Derrick! I will not be able to work anywhere near the level of work I put in without your help at home. Now that we are parents I see first hand what mom’s do for their children so I have a greater appreciation for all mom’s out there. Thank you for everything you Mom! I also want to recognize the mom’s at our agency (Janet, Laura and Adi) who do a great job prioritizing being a mom first and also still be able to preform at a high level at work which is something we can all respect.

To help celebrate reaching 6,000 policies in force Farmers gave us the whole suite Farmers has at Staples Center in Los Angeles California for game 2 of the 2015 NBA playoffs against the San Antonio Spurs. Although the Clippers lost a really close game in overtime it was an extremely exciting game that our team and our guests enjoyed watching! Thank you so much Farmers so helping us celebrate together as a team! Go Farmers and go Clippers!
6,000 Policies in force!

Today we reached another milestone at our agency as we passed over 6,000 policies in force! Thank you to everyone on my team who all worked extremely very hard to keep every one of our policy holders happy with our Farmers insurance agency. I also want to thank every single one of our policy holders all over California because without our clients we all wouldn’t even have a job. We are looking forward to servicing your policies for years to come and I am looking forward to celebrating more milestones with my incredible team. Let’s get it!
Isabel’s Birthday!

Last Friday the 13th was Isabel’s birthday so we all took her out to Mizu Sushi Bar & Grill in Tustin, CA to celebrate! It was a special day for our agency because she is an important member of our team who really helped us become the #1 Farmers Insurance Agency last year. Later on in the day her sister Anna stopped by with her favorite cake! (Red velvet cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes in Tustin, CA) Hope you had a great day birthday and a fun birthday weekend, Isabel!

Risa and I were invited to the annual Farmers Insurance Open in Torrey Pines in La Jolla (San Diego), California. We had a great time talking to many different people from Farmers and to other top agents around the country that were also invited. This event does a great job promoting our brand and the golf course is as good as it gets with the perfect weather and stunning views of the coastline. Thank you Farmers for inviting us and we hope to be invited again next year!

The official results are in from Farmers Insurance and we are proud to announce that our agency was the #1 Farmers Insurance agency in the nation with the most new business policies sold in 2014! (We started 2,790 policies in 2014) We have been #1 in California in previous years but to be #1 companywide is a huge accomplishment for our team. Every single one of us worked extremely hard and contributed which resulted in this big win for us. We are extremely grateful of every single one of our clients who started their policy in 2014!
